Endodontic treatment is based on disinfestation of root canal after removing infected dental pulp tissue. Tooth cavity, trauma, crack and/or fracture can be assumed as main causes of pulp infection.
Oversensitivity against hot and cold, intensive pain, which wakes the patient up, and weeping of the dental pulp due to trauma necessitate endodontic treatment. The postpone of the treatment can increase the pain and in and out of the mouth, swellings can arise. Progression of the infection can cause loss of tooth, moreover, sepsis. Endodontic treatment, which has chance of success more than 85%, has great importance to prevent the loss of tooth and bone loss in long term and the loss of functional loss and loss of aesthetic view.
